Funding for Good is investing in consultants every day
Equip nonprofit consultants with foundational knowledge to launch or grow your business.
Share ready-to-use templates to save you time, energy, and sanity!
Encourage and inspire you as you put your skills to use in new ways.
This summit is for YOU if you’re preparing to launch or in the early stages of developing your nonprofit consulting business.
Why invest in a nonprofit consultant-specific event with Funding for Good?
“As a first-time business owner, I came [into Boot Camp] with so many questions and was happy to discover many answers and new things to try! The program’s structure kept me on track and making progress in my business.
I especially love the team, their collective generosity, and the wealth of knowledge they bring to the table. Boot Camp was a super generative and clarifying experience.”
“When I started consulting, it was more of a side gig without a plan for growth. With Mandy and Marie’s help, I’ve been able to create more structure and systems that have already made my business more efficient and effective. FFG’s one-on-one approach was so helpful for me as it allowed me to get specific guidance tailored to my existing business. My only regret is that I didn’t start sooner!”
“I started my business three years ago. Since then, I’ve been operating informally, accepting new clients and projects when they come my way. But I was not excited about some of the work I was doing. I realized that for my business to be fulfilling, I needed to double down and get serious. That’s when I started working with Funding for Good.
The FFG team helped me find the work I love [and] showed me how to focus my business around it. I’m excited to launch this new phase of my business and can’t wait to get to work!”
Meet Our Speakers
Most consultants are experts at working IN their business but struggle to work ON their business.
You don’t have to do it alone. Say no to living with “imposter syndrome.”
Together, we will increase knowledge, skills, and resources to help you launch or grow your dream business.
Each presenter has more than two decades of nonprofit experience to share. Our goal is to ensure every participant walks away from this summit with greater clarity, meaningful connections, and ready-to-use resources.

Pricing and Establishing Rates: Things to Consider
Are you unsure of where to start with pricing your services or billing clients for your work? Are you overwhelmed by the considerations for managing your time with apps and spreadsheets for clients?
In this session, we’ll discuss critical elements of creating your base rate as a consultant, learn the key components of establishing service fees, and explore practices to maximize your time and revenue.
Creating and Streamlining Scopes of Work
A well-crafted Scope of Work can lead to the discovery of a great client prospect or just as easily identify and point out an individual or group that may NOT be an ideal fit. Once a SOW can be agreed upon, it’s the tool that supports a thorough contract and serves as the roadmap for a successful engagement.
We’ll dive into what a SOW is, why you need it, how it serves as a GREAT tool for you and your clients, considerations as you craft scopes, components of truly excellent SOWs, and how we use scopes to build effective communication and realistic expectations with clients and client prospects.
Contract Considerations to CYA’ (Ass-ets)
Have you ever found yourself in the middle of a client engagement thinking, “I’ll never do THIS again!” or “I would have charged a lot more if I had known clients were going to do this!”
A well-crafted contract helps consultants and clients understand and manage expectations.
We’ll cover contract basics-what they are and what they should include (at bare minimum), time-saving contract considerations, money-saving contract considerations, and low-hassle, ethical contract exit options.
